Crowns, bridges, veneers<\/h2>\n

Whether it is to restore a badly fractured tooth, to permanently replace a large filling or to replace a missing tooth, a fixed prosthesis (crown or veneer) is the ideal treatment. The dentist must take an impression of the tooth to be restored that has been prepared beforehand. The impression is then sent to the laboratory. Crowns and bridges can be made of metal (gold alloy), porcelain or a mixture of both. The choice will depend on the aesthetics, the position of the missing tooth and the patient’s habits (grinding of the teeth). A crown mounted on an implant is also possible.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Sealants<\/h2>\n

The first teeth appear around the age of 6. The molars often have deep grooves that make it difficult to maintain good hygiene and are more prone to cavities. The application of sealants is then recommended to prevent cavities. This is a protective varnish applied to the chewing surface of the teeth. The procedure is done without anesthesia and is painless.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Endodontic treatment (root canal)<\/h2>\n

Root canal treatment is indicated when the nerve of the tooth is infected. This can be caused by cavities, large fillings, fracture or trauma. This treatment consists of devitalizing the tooth by removing the nerve and any bacteria that may still be in the canal(s).<\/p>\n

The canals are cleaned with special files (manual or mechanical) and then replaced with gutta-percha.
